Description

Job Title: Personnel Officer Key Responsibilities: • Manages the preparation and validation of payroll data and work effectively with the finance function to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and allowances. • Handles all appropriate award provisions in relation to overtime, shift allowances • Coordinates and resolves discrepancies with the Social Security authorities. • Manages NSSF registration & declarations & discrepancies • Participates in the preparation of insurance coverage plans in coordination with the HR manager and the company’s insurance brokers. • Deals with minor pay queries. • Maintains leave and sickness/accident records. • Oversees the operation of processes for early retirement and voluntary severance. • Prepares annual goals and budgets for the Personnel HR function to submit to the HR management planning process. • Maintains job evaluation system and personnel records. • Administers company salaries and benefits programs. • Participates in preparing and monitoring succession plans in terms of Emplyee transfers and Compensations & Benefits. • Advises Management on staff conditions. • Counsels employees and providing advice on staff matters • Interprets awards. • Willing to handle challenges and provide quality solutions on time and within company budget. • Willing to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field / HR orientation is an asset Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in personnel function COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
